Then resume cycling on well-maintained paths along the creeks, passing primary schools, and visiting local homes to see how people make sweets and snacks. Take a photo of the Cai Be Catholic Church, built in 1929, facing the Cai Be floating market. Then cyc some more km to Ba Kiet, the ancient house where your lunch is well-arranged. Mr. Kiet house was located in Cai Be District and was built approximately in 1838. Only the house’s central architecture remained after more than 150 years. In 2002, a Japanese association, JICA, funded more than 1.8 billion for repairing the home and sent a Japanese architect to this house to monitor the work for more than 6 months. Hence, the entire architecture and decorations of the traditional house was restored, similar to its original design.
