Saigon Nha Trang Whale Island

We commence from Saigon at 8:00 am with the 3 hours authentic drive with some rest stops, a coffee shop, and a rubber plantation, as you can see local collect latex. Arrive at Cat Tien Park around 11:30 am, unload the luggage/suitcases, and have a ferry cross Dong River to the park’s center; check in at the Cat Tien Jungle Lodge Resort. After lunch in the park, your hiking begins on trails through the forest with a well-trained, experienced local guide. Learn about wildlife in the woods and see many tropical trees; Lagerstroemia Ovalfolia, Tetrameles nudiflora, Cycas rumphii, Afzelia cyclocarpa, etc. Then back to the resort and enjoy the rest of the day. In the evening, join in a 2-hour night trip by jeep toward Ta Lai, at the buffer zone; you might be lucky to spot some sun bears, deers, wild boars, and civets. Return to the resort for dinner—overnight in Cat Tien Park.

It’s so quiet in the early morning for you to wake up, listening to birds’ singing OR you can get up and stroll around some parts of the jungle near your resort. After breakfast, you will be accompanied by an experienced local guide to hike through the vast national park to the crocodile swamp. Bau Sau or Crocodile swamp, is the largest wetland in Cat Tien, with a total area of more than 2500 ha in the rain season. There are more than 60 types of freshwater crocodiles in the park. This morning, a jeep will be transferred about 9 km to the trekking point, where you hike approximately 5 km to the swamp. This is an excellent chance to learn about the wildlife of many species and plants. Then you will explore the swamp and enjoy peaceful landscapes before returning to the jeep for a transfer back to the resort for a shower and be ready to check out. In the afternoon, you will have 3 hour’s drive from the park to Dalat City- the former Colonial Resort. Lunch en route before the journey drive on the road through many lively towns in the central highlands. A rest stop is at a famous coffee and tea shop in Bao Loc. Taste jasmine tea and Vietnamese coffee with local snacks, then drive toward Dalat.

Hong kong and Thailand were the vacation locations that Indochina French Army officers often traveled to, but they were too far after the French found Dalat city. French started to build a resort city with plenty of wooden houses, following infrastructure; roads, railways, power stations, etc. The pretty Crémaillère Railway Station was designed by French architects and opened in 1938. Da Lat is a famous tourist destination and one of Vietnam’s central highland’s agricultural growth. Every local market in Vietnam is filled with local specialties such as strawberries, cauliflowers, and artichokes. In the morning, visit Crazy House, Bao Dai Summer Palace, then the Valley of Love before we stop at XQ Headquarters – Dalat Historical Village. Visit XQ Hand Embroidery workshop. Next, enjoy lunch at a famous restaurant. In the afternoon, you will take the old train trip through farmland, greenhouse to Trai Mat village, stroll into the villages, experience the lives of locals, visit the beautiful Linh Phuoc pagoda. Then, we return to the hotel and explored Dalat city on foot in the evening.

Today your journey is about 170 km from Dalat, central highland, to Whale Island. The scenic vehicle drive gets through lush farmlands, greenhouses, and valleys with incredible mountainous ranges and breathtaking natural landscapes of pine and tropical forests. There will be many selected stops so you enjoy spectacular scenery, look over waterfalls, and capture plenty of photos. Have a coffee break-in at a nice place by the river in Khanh Vinh. Then continue to drive to Dien Khanh’s countryside to have lunch at Memento Countryside Home before resting on the car, traveling to Van Ninh, turning right on the coast road, and having a speed boat ride to Whale Island. Check in at the hotel resort, and enjoy the rest of today on the beach.

Whale Island Resort is located along the sandy white beach of stunning Van Phong Bay. It’s the most secluded beach with tropical landscapes and is well known for its diving and private beaches. It’s about 80km north of Nha Trang. It is fantastic to enjoy swimming, snorkeling, and diving. Spend the whole day on the beach.

After breakfast, enjoy swimming, and relax on your own until you get back to the mainland by speed boat with a vehicle transfer to Nha Trang City. Tour End!
