Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park

Phong Nha Cave, home to the world’s longest underground river at 1,500 meters, is a natural wonder tucked into the dense jungles and karst mountains of Central Vietnam. As you journey along its subterranean river, you’ll experience pristine cave formations, cool, fresh air, and the quiet song of untouched nature. Phong Nha isn’t just a remote village—it feels like another world. Nominated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1998 and officially recognized in 2003, Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park is a remarkable blend of deep valleys, limestone peaks, and hidden caves. Among its treasures is the world’s largest cave, Hang Son Doong, drawing explorers from around the globe. But Hang Son Doong is only part of what makes the region special. The Phong Nha cave system itself stretches over 7,730 meters and features two main sections: dry caves 200 meters above sea level and wet caves shaped by the underground river. Its entrance is 20–25 meters wide, about 10 meters high, and the cave plunges 83 meters deep. Inside are 14 grottoes, a network of connecting passages, and breathtaking geological formations.

Despite its growing reputation, much of Phong Nha remains unexplored, preserving its mystique. For adventurers and nature lovers alike, this is one of the last truly wild frontiers
